Morning Session (10:45 AM — 12:15 PM)

– Strategic Travel Planning…News, Insights and Updates

– Presented by Debbie Stewart

This session will address the ever-changing “World of Travel”! Please join us while we discuss the most current travel information. This will be enlightening for you, your club and council’s travel programs. We will provide you with tools and key information to share with your club to enhance the success of your trips.

We encourage audience participation and will allow time for questions, answers, and sharing.

The session will be led by Debbie Stewart, FWSA VP of International Travel along with Nancy Ellis, FWSA VP of No. American Travel and Tucker Hoffmann, FWSA Trustee overseeing travel.

Afternoon Session (2:40 PM — 4:00 PM)

– Race to the Finish – JEDI On & Off the Slopes

– Presented by Todd Hood

This session will present questions and answers for participants to exchange input and insights about race, gender, sex, and a myriad of characteristics that divide us, in order for us to unite for fun, adventure, and successful relationships, on and off the slopes. We will not solve the problems of the world, but the Far West Ski Association hopes to positively impact our small section of it.

All attendees of the Snowsports Leadership Academy will receive a Certificate of Completion for each module. All Delegates to the FWSA Convention are given internet access to the Leadership Packet, which contains a myriad of information on each of the components (with expanded topics).

Why should you attend the Snowsports Leadership Academy?

The purpose of the Snowsports Leadership Academy is to provide an informational forum to the members attending the Far West Ski Association Convention, and has evolved into a valuable resource. It is a Far West education program designed to provide Far West members training and tools to enhance and expand their clubs and be recognized industry wide as having a measure of standards and consistency.
