Optional events include a Harbor Splash Pub Cruise, Lets Play Pickleball, Balboa Park Scavenger Hunt, Aqua Adventures on Mission Bay, Annual Michael German Memorial Golf Tournament, Paint the Town and 40th Annual Auction and Snowsports Trade Show. New this year - the Auction is online with packages up for bid at great prices, will open a week before SkiCon and close on Saturday evening! Ski resorts, tour operators and lodging facilities representatives will still be available at the show to answer questions to assist in planning your next snowsports or adventure trip. Saturday Evening’s Awards Banquet will feature musical entertainment from “Williams SoCal Entertainment.”
The Convention offers educational workshops, seminars and presentations designed to enhance participants’ knowledge and skills. This year’s Snowsports Leadership Academy welcomes past, present and future club and council leaders for discussion of “The Membership Multiplier: Modern Marketing for Ski & Snowboard Clubs” and “Snowball Effect: Turning Small Efforts into Big Fundraising Wins.” The Public Affairs Panel will feature a powerful panel of experts on “Searching for Meaningful Climate Action: Regenerating Earth’s Environment.”
The Awards Banquet on Saturday evening will acknowledge industry partners, snowsports builders, and volunteers who work tirelessly to promote snowsports, paying tribute to the passion, dedication, and spirit of excellence that define the skiing community. Among those being honored this year include Henri Rivers III, President of the National Brotherhood of Snowsports (NBS), recipient of the 2026 Snowsports Builder Award. Also being honored is John Watson, a Past FWSA President, recipient of the Golden Lifetime Legacy Award. A General Session for all club delegates, with the election of officers and Bylaws revisions, will be conducted on Sunday.
