What the Winner Receives

The winner receives a 5-night ski/board package for two that includes:

  • 5 Nights Lodging spilt between The Gant in Aspen* and The Crestwood Condominium Hotel in Snowmass*

  • 5 Day Lift Ticket for Buttermilk, Aspen, Snowmass, Aspen Highlands

  • 5 days of Equipment Rentals

  • Half-day Group Lesson
*Lodging is based on space availability and restrictions may apply

About the Environment Award

The Environment Award is designed to inspire and reward creative efforts to conserve and protect our environment. This award should recognize a special action that the applicant took, or something he or she put in place that made an impact in the community.

Conduct or arrange an event(s) for your club, council or the general public that focuses on the principles of “Protect Our Winters (POW)” mission is to engage and mobilize the snowsports community to lead the fight against climate change with a focus on educational initiatives, advocacy and community-based activism. Stage an event based on one or more of the seven actions of the POW pledge. Learn more about POW at http://protectourwinters.org/about-us/.
Work with your club or council and your local ski area to develop or improve your ski area's “Sustainable Slopes” program. This program was adopted by the ski industry in 2000. It provides an overarching framework for ski areas on sustainability and enhanced environmental performance. Who is Eligible

The Award is open to an individual who is a member of a Far West club.
