Bay Area Snow Sports Council

David Baird has been skiing for over 50 years and has been a member of Inskiers for the past 15 years. David served as his club’s president for 3 years and loves to cook meals for his fellow skiers at their club cabin. Kat Severin has been skiing for 20 years and has been a member of Rusty Bindings for the past 7 years. Kat was the 2015 FWSA Safety Person of the Year Recipient. She developed a YouTube video to educate skiers and riders about protecting their eyes from the sun's UV rays.

Intermountain Ski Council

Mark Barnard is rather new to skiing and has been at it for one year with Bogus Basin Ski Club. In a very short time, Mark has had a considerable positive impact on his club’s fund raising revenue. In addition, Mark will be the event leader for “A Day on the Mountain” at Bogus Basin. Carol Peterson has been skiing for 20 years and has been a member of Bogus Basin Ski Club for the past 5 years. Carol has been her club’s Communications Director since 2014. In that time she has completely reformatted and edited her club’s newsletter. She also maintains her club’s website, sends email blasts and designs point-of-sale material for her club.

Los Angeles Council of Ski Clubs

Aaron Algazy has been skiing and a member of Century City Ski Club for the past 16 years. Aaron served as president of his club for the past two years. He has been instrumental in bringing social media for his club to the forefront. His postings in Meetup, where he maintains multiple accounts, has brought in a significant number of new members. Jane Gutierrez has been skiing with Four Seasons West Ski and Snowboard Club the past 28 years. Besides serving as her club’s president since 2012, Jane is also the FWSA VP of Membership, the National Ski Council Federation (NCSF) Secretary and a board member of the National Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS).

Northwest Ski Club Council

Alan Bean has been skiing for 42 years and a member of Mt. High Snowsports Club for the past 8 years. Alan has been his club’s Director of racing for the past two years. Alan volunteers at club recruiting events like the first annual Portland  "Snowvana" this past fall. Sandra Shaub has been skiing for 56 years and a member of Skiyente Ski Club for the past 28 years. Sandy has held the office of President and Vice-President of her club. She is also involved in her club’s many fund raising & community events including Adopt-A-Highway, Holiday Baskets, Plant Sales and Bottle Drop Organizer.

San Diego Council of Ski Clubs

Nick Cowell has been skiing and a member of the North Island Snowdrifters Ski Club for 26 years. Nick has served as his club’s President, Vice-President, Webmaster and Newsletter Editor. He is an advocate of safety and volunteers at the Lakeside River Park Conservancy in San Diego.
